✦ THE ECHO TRADER (ECHO TRADER) ✦

„He wanders on the invisible paths between dimensions, drawn by the vibrations of your runes. He who hears his voice should hurry – for he never lingers long in the light of the sun.“

The Echo Trader is an ethereal, mystical wanderer. He serves as one of your primary sources for powerful artifacts, but in return demands the most valuable resources your character possesses: Your accumulated life experience and your pure vitality.

1. Appearance: The Distant Hum

The Echo Trader cannot be summoned – he decides when he manifests.

  • [cite_start]Random Spawn: Once per Minecraft day, there is a $15\%$ chance that the Trader materializes in a radius of about 30 blocks around a player [cite: 1375-1376, 1381-1382]. [cite_start]He can appear anywhere, even deep underground in dark cave systems[cite: 1384].
  • The Acoustic Signal: You recognize his arrival immediately, even without seeing him. [cite_start]His manifestation is accompanied by an unmistakable, deep, and cosmic Saturn Hum [cite: 9, 1388]. When this atmospheric echo rolls through the game world, you know the Trader is nearby.

2. Duration: A Fleeting Moment

The Trader is bound to an unstable resonance. He exists on a constant ticking deadline and inevitably vanishes once his energy is depleted.

  • [cite_start]The Time Limit: After his appearance, the Trader remains in the world for exactly 10 minutes ($12,000$ Ticks) [cite: 1326, 1353]. [cite_start]When this time runs out, he dissolves into a cloud of ethereal echo-moths, leaving nothing but emptiness [cite: 1354, 1359-1360].
  • The Trade Tribute: Every single purchase you make from him drains a part of his stability. [cite_start]Every transaction immediately reduces his duration by exactly 1 Minute ($1,200$ Ticks). If you want to buy his entire stock at once, he will disappear between dimensions extremely quickly.

3. The Inventory: Trade for Experience

[cite_start]The Trader's inventory is strictly limited and is assembled from a rare loot pool upon every appearance[cite: 1332, 1339]. [cite_start]Payment for normal items is made with your hard-earned XP levels [cite: 2255-2256].

From him, you can acquire the following treasures:

  • [cite_start]✦ Runes & Cluster Jewels: He carries unidentified cluster jewels as well as powerful Minor, Major, and rare Milestone Runes, which often come with strong base values [cite: 1334-1336].
  • [cite_start]✦ Lootboxen: He sells the coveted Resonance Boxes in various quality tiers (Tier 1 to Tier 10) [cite: 1333-1334].
  • [cite_start]✦ Essential Tools: Standardly, he often has useful endgame items like Diamonds, Workbenches, and Anvils available, should your resources for your thaumaturgical experiments run low [cite: 1336-1337].

4. The Unholy Life Sacrifice: HP for XP

[cite_start]The Trader's darkest and riskiest mechanic is the direct exchange of physical life force for pure experience points [cite: 1337-1338, 2254, 2264]. Instead of spending levels, you can use your own blood cells as currency.

[cite_start]The system determines the damage from a sacrifice randomly, based on your maximum hit points. There are three unholy sacrifice classes you can undergo:

🩸 Minor Life Sacrifice

  • [cite_start]Tribute: Drains exactly $10\%$ of your maximum hit points [cite: 2260].
  • [cite_start]Gain: Grants you a small boost of $30$ to $50$ experience points [cite: 2261].

🩸 Moderate Life Sacrifice

  • [cite_start]Tribute: A painful drain of $30\%$ to $60\%$ of your life force (rolled randomly within this range) [cite: 2261-2262].
  • [cite_start]Gain: Grants you moderate $400$ to $700$ experience points [cite: 2262].

☠️ Major Life Sacrifice (LETHAL)

  • [cite_start]Tribute: An absolutely ruthless drain of $75\%$ to $105\%$ of your entire life [cite: 2262-2263].
  • [cite_start]Gain: Rewards you with massive $4,000$ to $6,000$ experience points instantly [cite: 2263].

⚠️ WARNING OF DEATH: [cite_start]Since the Major Life Sacrifice can consume up to $105\%$ of your maximum health, the probability is extremely high that the ritual will set your life clock completely to zero [cite: 2262-2263]. [cite_start]If the random value exceeds your current remaining life, you die instantly from the ritualistic magical death by the Trader's hand [cite: 2263]! Think three times about how full your health bar is before reaching for the dark experience.
