✦ RESONANCE BOXEN (LOOTBOXES) ✦
„A gift of resonance. It holds treasures from the remotest corners of reality, bound by the pure essence of your past deeds.“
The Resonance Boxen (often simply called Lootboxes by players) are valuable reward chests. They reward you for risky ventures or a particularly glorious run that ended in the bitter loss of your character.
1. Acquisition: How to get the Boxes?
There are exactly two ways in the Stones mod to obtain these coveted chests:
- ✦ The Leaderboard (Upon Death): If your run is honored in the Hall of Resonance with at least 300 points or a placement among the Top 3, you can claim your boxes upon respawn.
- ✦ The Echo Händler (Purchase): The mysterious wanderer offers you Resonance Boxen in exchange for your hard-earned XP levels. A Tier-1 box costs you 5 levels, a Tier-5 box 30 levels, and the mighty Tier-10 box a whopping 65 levels.
2. The Piñata Effect: Setting Up and Dismantling
In the inventory, the box looks like a violet gift. You can place it anywhere in the world like a normal chest. The moment the block touches the ground, the system generates the loot in the background.
Opening by Destruction: You do not open a Resonance Box by simply looking at it. You must dismantle it! As soon as you smash it, it bursts open with a ceremonial amethyst blade, revealing its contents.
- The Lapis Bonus: In addition to the actual loot pouring out of the chest, dismantling it triggers a "Piñata Effect." The box guarantees 2 to 5 Lapis Lazuli in survival mode, along with flashing experience particles as an additional bonus.
3. The Content: What's Inside?
The loot in the Resonance Boxen is not simply rolled—it is woven from various dimensions. The content is divided into three fixed categories:
Strict Rune Guarantee
In every Lootbox, there is guaranteed at least one Mod-Rune. The system scales mercilessly with the Tier of the box:
- At low tiers, you usually receive 1–2 Minor Runen.
- At medium tiers (from Tier 5), the number increases, and you have a high chance of powerful Major Runen.
- At the highest tiers (Tier 10), the box practically explodes and drops up to 6 Runen, with extremely rare, active Milestone Runen dominating.
- The level strength of the rune enchantments also scales upwards with the box's Tier.
The Vanilla Structure Mix
The system randomly selects two monumental loot tables from the Minecraft universe for each box and throws them into a pot. For a Tier-10 box, for example, the loot from an Ancient City and an End City might be combined. To keep it unpredictable, the loot is heavily mixed, and exactly half of the items are filtered out.
Tier 10+: The "Criminal" Endgame Loot
If your box reaches a level of Tier 10 or higher, the system finally breaks all balancing rules. The box draws from the entire pool of all items registered in the game—this includes Minecraft Vanilla and all other installed Mods!
The box generates up to 17 completely crazy random items. If one of these items is enchantable (like armor, swords, or tools), an absurd enchantment level is applied. You can find items with divine enchantments of Level 30 up to over Level 100, which would never be obtainable in normal gameplay.
